During a visit to Wisconsin's Turtle-Flambeau Flowage, I managed to photograph this loon. It was a windy day, which made for ruffled feathers, and a little different image of this beautiful and interestng bird.
I'm a nature photographer who lives in Ely, Minnesota. My work includes landscapes, wildlife and macros. Although many of my images focus on my home state, I do have many photos from places such as Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Grand Canyon National Parks, the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota, and the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming.
